Flow Lab. Hot Room is an Infrared Heated Pilates space located upstairs at 138 Puckle Street, Moonee Ponds. At Flow Lab, we start and end each class connecting with our body and mind. Whether that be via stillness and a simple meditation, or working with the breath as we stretch and warm up/cool down. Flow Lab is a contemporary pilates practice that is considered, strong & educational whilst still being fun. The studio is full of energy & laughter, making it perfect for any person whether you’re new to Pilates or a professional.

  • FOR: All levels. Not suitable for pregnancy at any trimester due to heat.

    WHAT: Mat Flow is our signature Mat Pilates flow at the FL. hot room. You can expect classical & contemporary Mat Pilates repertoires layered seamlessly into a no repeat full body flow.

    This class is completed in an ambient room temperature of 31-34 degrees utilising the benefits of infrared heat therapy whilst you train, which is proven to assist in detoxification and muscle recovery.

  • FOR: Clients of all levels, who have an understanding of the basic Pilates principals and functional fitness shapes. Not suitable for Pregnancy or modifications due to injury.

    WHAT: a strength based Pilates class. You will see timed sets and a sequenced class plan in this session. Incorporating the use of strength tools like dumbbells and resistance bands to create muscle load. You can expect a Pilates repertoire paired with functional fitness style shapes and sets of elevated heart rate movements.

    This class is completed in an ambient room temperature of 31-34 degrees utilising the benefits of infrared heat therapy whilst you train, which is proven to assist in detoxification and muscle recovery.

  • FOR: All Levels. Pregnancy friendly.

    WHAT: Warm Mellow/Yin is a slower paced class that offers extended time in postures to explore their deeper benefits. The practise includes pranayama (breathwork), a slow asana (movement) practice, a series of extended still yin shapes, and closes with a relaxing savasana/guided meditation to leave you feeling lighter than when you arrived.

    Warm Mellow is the perfect way to slow down, switch off and find stillness in the present moment. The class encourages you to leave anything you’re holding onto outside the door and reconnect with your breath.

HOT ROOM RULES

  • Arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class. No earlier, the door will not be open.

  • No Towel - No Entry. (Bring a large mat size towel)

  • BYO Mat (if you forget its ok, we have Mats, but you might be more comfortable with some extra padding!)

  • Bring a drink bottle

  • No phone zone (We have space to place your belongings in the waiting area. You can take photos before and after class. Phones are not permitted to be used during class; this includes apple watches)

  • Not suitable for pregnancy at any trimester or for people with heart conditions.
